UNICEF’s Office of Emergency Programmes (EMOPS) leads efforts to ensure that UNICEF’s role in humanitarian crises is clearly defined, that the organization is properly equipped to fulfill that role, and that all levels of the organization are prepared to deliver our mandate. EMOPS coordinates headquarters support to country and regional offices dealing with emergencies in terms of staffing, funding, donor relations, inter-agency issues or technical guidance. The incumbent provides support in the development of Knowledge Management products and their effective dissemination. The imcumbent also supports KM related to the Humanitarian Policy Section’s (HPS) work, and the broader Office of Emergency Programmes (EMOPS). In support of the KM Specialist and other EMOPS staff, works closely with DRP and ICTD and other Divisions that play a role in development of the Humanitarian Knowledge Management platform and other KM products, and works closely with the EMOPS Directors Office, particularly as regards engagement with ICTD and broader information management across the division.
