UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential.

Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.

And we never give up.

For every child, hope

To deliver results for children, UNICEF engages in public and private partnerships with governments, NGOs, civil society, corporations, and individual donors. In addition, UNICEF works with media to communicate and provide visibility to issues related to children’s rights and wellbeing at local and international levels.

Following the joint meeting of the Regional Management Team with National Committee Executive Directors in April 2018, it was agreed to provide opportunities for National Committee staff to be deployed on short-term assignments in WCA Regional Office or Country Offices in the region.

These assignments will enable NatCom personnel to contribute to a number of results for children in the region within different programmatic or functional areas, while providing opportunities for professional growth and development.

The assignments are categorized in three main areas:

1. Communications

2. Shared value partnerships

3. Resource Mobilization and Reporting

How can you make a difference?

You will support the office’s communications, partnerships and/or resource mobilization programmes. This may include development of strategies, creation of communication materials and campaigns, engagement with current and potential partners, and preparation of donor reports. For more information on the country context and specific deliverables expected for each assignment, please review the full Terms of Reference (TOR) in the below table.
