| The WASH Specialist (System Strengthening) reports to the Chief of WASH (Level 4) for guidance and general supervision. The Specialist supports the development, preparation, management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the WASH system strengthening within the country programme.
The Specialist provides technical guidance and management support throughout the programming processes to facilitate the administration and achievement of the WASH-related output results in the country programme and support to the government, including institutional reform, sector governance, and technical support for capacity building in an integrated approach with the programme “Support to the water sector and strengthen resilience to climate change in Burundi (PASEREC) funded by African development bank”. |

The UNICEF Refugee Response Office in Poland is recruiting a PROGRAMME ASSOCIATE. Under the supervision and guidance of the Deputy Country Coordinator, the programme associate supports the respective sections by carrying out a range of programme support functions to help develop, implement and monitor their RRO programmes, ensuring effective and timely delivery that is consistent with UNICEF rules and regulations. The Programme Associate works in close collaboration with a range of staff in the RRO, external partners and agency counterparts in support of programme design and delivery. S/He provides regular feedback on the status of projects through monitoring milestones and advises on improvements to keep activities on track.
This position is subject to local recruitment pursuant to staff rule 4.4 of the United Nations Staff Rules. All staff in the General Service and related categories shall be recruited in the country or within commuting distance of each office, irrespective of their nationality and of the length of time they may have been in the country. A staff member subject to local recruitment shall not be eligible for the allowances or benefits exclusively applicable to international recruitment. There is no relocation allowance for this position.
