| In Cabo Verde, UNDP, UNFPA and UNICEF work together in one Joint Office, are represented by one Joint Country Representative who is accredited on behalf of the three agencies and have one Common Country Program Document (CCPD). Under the supervision and guidance of the Resident Representative of UNDP, UNFPA and UNICEF, the Deputy Resident Representative covers a broad range of issues from programme formulation to delivery and monitoring of programme and operations of the Joint Office in Cabo Verde, representation of UNDP, UNFPA and UNICEF with the Government of Cabo Verde and in the UN Country Team (UNCT), as well as formulation and delivery of joint programmes and partnerships building. The Deputy Resident Representative supports the Resident Representative in positioning UNDP, UNFPA and UNICEF as strategic partners for sustainable development within the Agenda 2030 framework. The Deputy Resident Representative ensures that the UNDP, UNFPA and UNICEF programme and services are consistent with the national development priorities of the host country government, and supportive of the UN’s development efforts in the country in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSCDF) and CCPD. |
