The UNICEF Syria Country Office is looking for a Chief Social Policy at the P5 level who will be responsible for leading, managing and supervising all stages of social policy programming and related advocacy work, from strategic planning and formulation to delivery of concrete and sustainable results.
Under the supervision of the Logistics Specialist (Team Leader), the Logistics Specialist (Health) is responsible to plan, manage and monitor all aspects of the Supply Chain related to the health project. This would include but not be limited to monitoring of procurement related activities, and the direct management and oversight of all logistics operations related to the project. The incumbent would have supervisory responsibility for other logistics staff, that are assigned to manage and deliver logistical support to the project.

Under the supervision of the Regional Advisor- Child Protection and in coordination with the UNICEF Maldives Representative, the consultant will provide technical support for the repatriation and reintegration of children from formerly ISIS controlled territories in Syria and ISIS and Taliban controlled areas of Afghanistan to countries in South Asia. Given the readiness of Maldives to receive women and children particular focus will be provided to support the country office team and coordinate actions with partners in the Maldives. He or she may also be required to liaise with arms of national governments, UN and NGO partners and UNICEF regional/country offices as required. The engagement around and within this portfolio requires strict confidentiality and appropriate handling of classified information within the organization.
