The consultant will provide strategic guidance on the implementation of EOF’s Education Outcomes Fund in Lagos State, Nigeria, to ensure the timely achievement of key programme milestones, support stakeholder engagement (Lagos State Universal Education Board (LASUBEB), Local Government Area (LGA) departments, Federal Ministry of Education (FME), evaluators, donors), support implementation of outcomes-based financing to enable sustainability and evidence uptake into public systems.
The primary objective of this consultancy is to support UNICEF Sudan in preparing for a pilot intervention in Khartoum aimed at improving numeracy skills through the use of mathematics worksheets developed by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). This includes contextualising the mathematics worksheets (originally developed in Arabic for Niger) to align with Sudan’s mathematics curriculum and Sudanese Arabic; developing pre- and post-assessment tools to monitor pupils’ learning progress and the effectiveness of the worksheets; and supporting the development of a teacher training package to implement extra-curricular remedial lessons using these worksheets
