The ongoing Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) outbreak in DRC poses a significant cross-border risk to Rwanda. UNICEF Rwanda, in line with the Government-led preparedness approach, is supporting national efforts to strengthen Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and infection prevention and control (IPC) systems to prevent and respond to a potential outbreak. Current priorities include strengthening IPC in healthcare facilities, scaling up WASH services, enhancing community-based preparedness, and ensuring continuity of essential services.
