Cela étant, la RDC de manière général et dans les provinces du Nord-Kivu, Sud Kivu et de l’Ituri, en particulier, demeurent confrontées à diverses urgences humanitaires causées par les conflits intercommunautaires et l’activisme des milices/groupes armés, les épidémies multiples, ainsi que d’autres catastrophes naturelles tels que : l'éruption volcanique au Nord-Kivu ainsi que les inondations au Tanganyika et au Kasaï.
Pour pallier cette situation, l’UNICEF vise à accompagner le ministère des Affaires sociales, Actions Humanitaires et Solidarité Nationale de la RDC à réaliser un diagnostic organisationnel genre afin d'examiner comment la dimension genre est prise en compte d'une part dans sa culture organisationnelle et sa structure institutionnelle, y compris dans le système de suivi, d'évaluation et de budgétisation, et d'autre part dans les politiques, programmes et leurs outils de mise en œuvre.

The Chief WASH reports to the Deputy Representative for general guidance and direction. The Chief is responsible for managing and supervising all stages of the WASH programme from strategic planning and formulation to the delivery of the WASH outcome and output results.
