The Child Protection Officer will facilitate the processes that will ensure a well-coordinated, strategic, adequate, coherent, and effective response by UNICEF and provide technical support to the Protection Sector that is accountable for coordinating actions aiming at responding to the needs of those who are affected by the emergency. In his/her effort to provide an efficient and effective response to the humanitarian crisis, the CPiE Specialist is responsible for building relationships with stakeholders, to support the coordination of sectoral responses and inter-sectoral collaboration at national and the sub-national level in the field of CPiE.
The Child Protection Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for child protection programmes/projects within the Country Programme from development planning to delivery of results.

The WASH Officer reports to the WASH Specialist who is at Level 3. The WASH Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the WASH programming process, through the application of theoretical and practical technical skills in researching, collecting, analyzing and presenting programme information while learning organizational rules, regulations and procedures to support the development, implementation and monitoring of the WASH output results of the Country Programme. The support provided by the level 1 WASH officer will enable the Country Office to achieve the WASH-related output results of the country programme. This, in turn, will contribute to the achievement of the outcome results of the Country Programme Document. When done effectively, the achievement of the outcome results will improve child survival, growth and development and reduce inequalities in the country.
The WASH Specialist (Private Sector and Urban Sanitation) reports to WASH Specialist (Level 3) for guidance and general supervision. The Specialist supports the development, preparation, management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the WASH programme within the country programme. The Specialist provides technical guidance and management support throughout the programming processes, to facilitate the administration and achievement of the WASH-related output results in the country programme. The support provided by the WASH specialist will enable the country office to achieve the WASH-related output results of the country programme around urban sanitation and private sector management. This, in turn, will contribute to the achievement of the outcome results of the country programme document. When done effectively, the achievement of the outcome results will improve child survival, growth and development and reduce inequalities in the country.
Under the general guidance of the Chief Field Office Manakara with matrix reporting to the Chief Social Policy, the officer is accountable for providing technical support and assistance in all stages of social policy programming and related advocacy from strategic planning and formulation to delivery of concrete and sustainable results.
The Immunization Specialist at level 4 is accountable for professional leadership and innovation in the development, planning, implementation, delivery, monitoring, evaluation and oversight management of the Immunization programme in conjunction with Chief Health, Maternal and Child Health Manager, Health Systems Strengthening Specialist, Gender Programme Manager, Social Behaviour Change and Nutrition components within the country programme, to achieve the UNICEF's immunization plus goals and objectives for the country. Accountable for ensuring the UNICEF Immunization programme promotes gender equality, with an emphasis on gender disaggregation, gender disparity identification and gender mainstreaming.
