Guinea is a middle level income country with significant child deprivation. With a Human Development Index of 0,477 it ranks 178th out of 189 nations (2019). Since 1984, UNICEF has collaborated with other UN agencies, non-profit organizations, faith-based organizations, youth organizations, and other partners to support the government in its efforts to support child development.
