How can you make a difference?
- Develop and manage ETL processes that integrate multiple data sources under the Business Intelligence scope.
- Verify data accuracy and resolve inconsistencies.
- Oversee the export and import of donor records, ensuring data integrity.
- Coordinate or implement data uploads to Salesforce and other relevant destinations.
- Support on evaluation, selection and implementation of future data platforms.
- Produce and regularly update reports and dashboards tailored to the Fundraising team’s needs.
- Maintain and refine the donor database reporting system, enabling timely and data driven decisions.
- Perform maintenance on data sets critical to existing reports and visualizations.
- Format and clean data for various objectives, such as campaign launches and billing reports.
- Define and apply security/confidentiality protocols to safeguard the donor database reporting system.
- Identify and automate manual workflows within PFP processes, improving operational efficiency and reducing errors.
- Conduct data quality checks and cleansing to ensure accuracy in Salesforce.
- Prioritize tasks by urgency and impact on critical processes.
- Standardize data and validate auto-calculated fields.
- Track and confirm functionality for key processes (RDA, EMAILS, CASES, CMP).
- Propose enhancements for data treatment and usage within Salesforce.
- Develop and maintain stored procedures for analytics and reporting.
- Update records and ensure data validity in the DWH environment.
- Recommend improvements for DevOps-related tasks in the retention or acquisition of donors.
- Manage minor DevOps actions in coordination with relevant teams.
- Prepare and maintain up-to-date documentation for Salesforce configurations, database structures, key processes, and critical fields to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing.

- Ensuring clean, accurate, and timely data in PFP systems.
- Delivering updated dashboards and reports for real-time monitoring and evidence-based decision-making.
- Streamlining BI processes through new tools or improvements to existing ones, ultimately enhancing UNICEF’s ability to mobilize resources and support for children’s programs.

Minimum requirements:
- Education: Completion of secondary education is required, ideally complemented by technical or university-level coursework in Computer Science, Statistics, Systems Engineering, Data Analysis, or a related field.
- Work Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience in database management and/or data analysis, with a focus on developing and maintaining database systems, data integration (ETL), data quality assurance, and reporting.
- A bachelor’s degree from a recognized academic institution in a field relevant to the position may be considered to compensate for three (3) years of experience in case the candidate lacks the required experience.
- A master’s degree from a recognized academic institution in a field relevant to the position may be considered to compensate for an additional two (2) years (in addition to the three years from above, totaling 5 years)
- Skills:

Demonstrated technical proficiency in tools and languages such as SQL Server, R, algorithms, data structures, advanced Microsoft Excel, SSRS, and Power BI. Direct experience creating dashboards, dynamic panels, and automated reporting solutions is highly valued.

Proven ability to optimize data cleansing, transformation, and consolidation processes, with a track record of implementing best practices in data governance, information security, and quality controls.

Familiarity with Python and Salesforce is considered a strong asset, especially if you have worked on integrating and automating data processes within these environments.

Additional advantages include knowledge of agile and/or DevOps methodologies, experience in documenting procedures, and a demonstrated capacity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on projects aimed at enhancing data driven decision-making.

- Language Requirements: Fluency in Spanish and at least an intermediate level of English are required.
