How can you make a difference?

Under the supervisor’s guidance, provide technical support for monitoring and managing public‑sector donor partnerships, ensuring that financial monitoring, progress reporting and contractual amendments are fully align with donor requirements.

1. Partnership Management & Coordination

  • Support the management of public sector partnerships, by maintaining regular communication with partners to follow up on commitments, reporting schedules, visibility requirements, and engagement opportunities.
  • Track partnership milestones and deliverables to ensure compliance with agreements.
  • Assist in organizing partner field missions, donor meetings and joint monitoring visits.

2. Knowledge Management and Documentation

  • Maintain partnership files, agreements, reporting trackers, and knowledge repositories.
  • Contribute to internal briefings, dashboards, and partnership performance updates.

3.  Resource Mobilization & Proposal Development

  • Assist in identifying funding opportunities and donor priorities relevant to UNICEF’s programmes.
  • Support the drafting of high quality concept notes, proposals, and donor briefs.
  • Contribute to landscape analyses and donor intelligence to inform engagement strategies.

4. Donor Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare or coordinate inputs for high quality donor reports, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with donor requirements.
  • Support financial monitoring, tracking budget utilization, and ensuring expenditures align with donor conditions and UNICEF regulations.

5. Monitoring of Partnership Performance

  • Monitor implementation of donor funded activities in collaboration with programme and operations teams.
  • Support the collection and consolidation of programmatic and financial data for reporting.
  • Flag risks or delays related to implementation, finances, or reporting.

Key-end results expected:

  1. Effective and regular monitoring system administered against donor funded projects and programmes, with  timely status reports prepared, and challenges and corrective actions identified.
  2. Strengthened UNICEF’s resource mobilization and reporting efforts by helping to gather and synthesize programmatic and financial data for proposals, reports, donor briefs, and concept notes - using results-based management.
  3. Strengthened partner collaboration by ensuring timely follow‑up on commitments, reporting timelines, and emerging engagement opportunities.
  4. Enhanced partnership collaboration by helping to deliver well‑organized field missions, visibility events, and joint monitoring visits.
  5. Strengthened and timely fulfillment of partnership commitments through effective cross‑team coordination with programme and operations.
  6. Enhanced internal capacities and understanding of colleagues on donor requirements, reporting standards, contractual requirements.
  7. Ensured effective partnership management by maintaining accurate documentation systems, and providing timely inputs to internal briefings, dashboards, and performance updates.

Minimum requirements

  1. Education: A university degree in one of the following fields is required: Social Sciences, International Relations, Government, Public Administration, Public Policy, Social Policy, Social Development, Community Development, or another relevant technical field.
  2. Work Experience: A minimum of one year of relevant professional work experience is required. 
  3. Skills: Community Development, Corrective Action, International Relations, Programme Implementation, Public Administration, Social Development, Social Policy, Status Reports, Technical Knowledge.
  4. Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required.

  1. Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language
  2. Experience working in a developing country is considered as an asset. Background/familiarity with emergency is considered as an asset.
