For every child, the right to health

How can you make a difference?

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is a longstanding strategic partner of UNICEF, supporting immunization programmes through a multi-year cooperative agreement that funds critical global and country-level immunization activities for accelerated disease control, outbreak preparedness and response, demand generation, financing and health system strengthening. Through this partnership, CDC provides critical technical collaboration and catalytic resources that support UNICEF’s work with countries to strengthen immunization systems, accelerate disease control efforts, and respond to emerging public health threats.

This consultancy will provide senior technical expertise and strategic lead for the CDC–UNICEF cooperative agreement, ensuring alignment with UNICEF’s global immunization strategy and advancing high-level engagement with CDC and other relevant partners. The role will provide strategic direction, critical guidance, and decision-making leadership across programme monitoring, donor engagement, financial oversight, and reporting. The consultant will act as the central coordination point between CDC, UNICEF technical teams, and global partners, ensuring accountability, visibility of results, and alignment with partnership objectives.

To support this work, the Immunization Section seeks a dedicated partnership function to lead and coordinate the management of the CDC cooperative agreement, including donor engagement, programme monitoring, and reporting.
