Under the general guidance of the South Area Field Office Chief and technical guidance from the SBC Section, and in close coordination with Sectoral and Cross-Sectoral Specialists and Officers, contributes to/responsible for the design, management, monitoring and evaluation of evidence-based, inclusive and innovative SBC strategies in support of the country programme. The Officer will be based on Kosti, White Nile state, and will provide support to the whole South Area.
The consultant will operationalize data-collection mechanisms in 4 pilot districts; prepare child- and maternal-sensitive communication materials; and assist in coordinating standard operating procedures (SOPs) across key national agencies (MoHSPP, Hydromet, and CoES) for a timely response and analyze major existing guidelines.
This consultant’s role is vital to ensuring vulnerable populations (children, pregnant and lactating women, newborns, and the elderly) receive targeted prevention and care measures, and that health workers have the right training and tools to manage climate-induced health risks.
The primary purpose of this consultancy is to provide technical and managerial support in management of the Child Rights Monitoring programmatic Interventions to cover for the position of the CRM Specialist during three-month period.
