The Knowledge Management (KM) Specialist is integral to Polio Eradication efforts and is tasked with identifying, managing, capturing, and sharing critical information to advance not only SBC practices but to enhance overall program effectiveness. This role is essential for meeting the knowledge needs of the Polio Eradication Team across all levels of UNICEF, ensuring strategies are in sync with UNICEF’s global Knowledge Management strategies.
The Specialist will be accountable for enriching UNICEF's KM approach, Implementing and improving the Polio KM strategy, leveraging new tools and methodologies, and fostering a collaborative learning environment that supports the global objective of polio eradication.
UNICEF Greece Country Office is looking for a Senior Project Associate, who under the supervision and guidance of the Head of Child Protection / Child Protection Specialist of the UNICEF Greece Country Office, will support the Child Protection Section by carrying out a range of programme functions to help develop, implement and monitor the country programme, ensuring effective and timely delivery that is consistent with UNICEF rules and regulations. The Senior Project Associate will work in close collaboration with a range of staff in the CO, external partners and agency counterparts in support of child protection programme design and delivery, as well as provide regular feedback on the status of projects through monitoring milestones and will advise on improvements to keep activities on track.
The incumbent will contribute to enhance UNICEF's capacity for data-driven decision-making in polio outbreak response areas, ensuring timely and accurate data analysis to support Outbreak Response and Preparedness Group, SBC, and VM strategies.
This position will focus on providing technical guidance and support to the Outbreak team in developing data collection tools, addressing data quality challenges, and establishing standardized data systems. Additionally, the position will utilize advanced data analysis methods to extract meaningful insights from polio outbreak data, develop interactive dashboards, and translate data-driven insights into actionable recommendations. Furthermore, they will facilitate data sharing and collaboration with partners, support reporting systems, and contribute to knowledge management efforts.
