UNICEF is interested in innovative partnerships with industry partners that enhance brand mission reach and diversify financing flows for children and their communities. The global video game industry is one such dynamic and culturally influential example, engaging more than three billion people worldwide and generating nearly USD 200 billion annually. Gaming offers rich opportunities for public engagement, advocacy, education, and fundraising through its vast digital ecosystems, communities, and immersive storytelling platforms. However, these engagement opportunities remain relatively untapped by UNICEF, as we parallel aim to raise awareness and standards for child protection in the gaming ecosystem. There is a need for a cohesive strategic framework to guide UNICEF’s engagement with the video gaming industry, one that is informed by evidence, built on industry insight, and designed for operational exploration across geographical markets.
We are looking for a Senior ICT Associate to support the ICT Specialist (Messaging and Collaboration), P3 in ensuring the reliable and secure operation of the organization’s messaging and collaboration platforms. The incumbent will contribute to the deployment, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of these systems, while monitoring performance and addressing faults to minimize service disruptions. This role is essential for enabling seamless communication and collaboration across the organization, safeguarding system integrity, and optimizing user experience.
The upgrade aims to incorporate new features such as the Disability Survey Module, improved data migration and integration with key systems (including the Imibereho Dynamic Social Registry and the National ID System), Single Sign-On (SSO), and interactive dashboards for real-time analytics. This assignment, therefore, seeks to upgrade the current DMIS Technology stack, Functionalities to a more robust, integrated, and user-friendly system that enables accurate disability classification, efficient data management, and enhanced coordination across institutions — ultimately contributing to inclusive national development and the empowerment of persons with disabilities in Rwanda.
The UNICEF Learning Innovation Hub is seeking a consultant to lead partnership development, coordination, and research under the Accessible Digital Textbooks (ADT) initiative. The consultant will engage with governments, donors, UN agencies, and Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) to advance national ownership and sustainable implementation. The role includes supporting country teams in the rollout of the ADT initiative, coordinating training and stakeholder engagement, and contributing to research and evidence generation in collaboration with UNICEF’s Global and Innocenti teams.
The purpose of the assignment is to develop a people-centred and community-led National Peer Model Framework. This should be in line with the principles in the National Strategic Plan (NSP), HIV, TB and STI 2023-2028. The NSP promotes an inclusive and participatory response through broad-based consultations and a multi-sectoral approach.
For every child, quality health.
