The Specialist provides technical and operational support for developing a systematic, planned and evidence-based strategy and process for SBC as an integral part of programme development, planning and implementation. Through communication and engagement, as well as the empowerment and participation of stakeholders, communities, children, civil society partners, and government counterparts, s/he promotes measurable behavioral and social change/mobilization. This subsequently contributes to the achievement of sustainable and concrete results in improving children’s rights, survival and wellbeing in the country.
The Chief, Social and Behaviour Change reports to the Deputy Representative for general guidance and direction. The Chief, SBC is responsible for developing a systematic, planned and evidence-based strategy and process for SBC as an integral part of programme development, planning and implementation. Through the use of appropriate social and behavioural science, as well as the empowerment and participation of stakeholders, communities, children, civil society partners and government counterparts, s/he promotes measurable behavioral and social change/mobilization. This subsequently contributes to the achievement of sustainable and concrete results on improving children’s rights, survival and well-being in the country.
As focal point of administrative management services in Field office, the incumbent is accountable for delivery of efficient and cost-effective administrative support services, providing guidance for operations of administrative support services and management of administrative staff. Ensures the office’s administrative operations and services are in compliance with the organization's administrative policy, procedures, rules and regulations.
The primary purpose of this consultancy is to lead and oversee the implementation of the existing health procurement action plan, ensuring that identified inefficiencies are addressed, procurement efficiencies are gained and monitored on an ongoing basis and savings are reinvested into the health sector. This information will be used by the Ministry of Health, the Central Medical Stores, the President’s Office of Finance and Planning, the Zanzibar Public Procurement and Disposal Authority, the Zanzibar Food and Drugs Authority, and the Zanzibar Health Services Fund to strengthen the procurement ecosystem.

In order to develop new income opportunities and capability to achieve de-fined targets in key markets such as Switzerland, the purpose of this assignment is to support the Global Philanthropy team and the committee for UNICEF Switzerland and Liechtenstein in their prospecting, management and stewardship of Ultra High Net Wealth (UHNW) philanthropists and Foundations.
Under the guidance of the Chief of Global Philanthropy and the Global Philanthropy Major Donor Manager and in collaboration with the committee for UNICEF Switzerland and Liechtenstein, the consultant will support with the fast-tracking of UNICEF’s high value pipeline to maximize resources and support for UNICEF programmes to achieve results for children.
