The Security Assistant reports to the Security Specialist in the Maiduguri Field Office for supervision. The Security Assistant provides technical, operational and administrative assistance to the Supervisor in support of their role as it relates to ensuring the safety and security of personnel and their eligible family members as well as the safeguarding of UNICEF premises, assets and resources at the duty station. In carrying out the below duties the incumbent is expected to follow instructions precisely and in strict compliance with supervisor’s instructions and UN Security related policies, rules and procedures.
The position will be based in Nairobi as part of ESARO and close to the PG Child Protection Hub, but with specific responsibilities for several identified Country Offices with existing or potential programming on addressing child labour in ESAR and WCAR. This position will link to public and private sector engagement opportunities concerning global supply chains. Additionally, the role will provide technical support to child labour and responsible business conduct activities globally.
The overall objective is to set up a Long-Term Agreement to facilitate and expedite the
process by which UNICEF Kenya will hire writers and editors as required for specific writing,
editing, and proofreading assignments as and when the need arises in a high-demand context.
