This staff member will drive the development of effective, integrated advocacy and communication strategies. S/he will work collaboratively with colleagues across teams and with external partners to drive changes in policy and practice and secure political and financial commitments for children.
Under the guidance and general supervision of the Chief, Education (Level 4), the Education Specialist supports the implementation of the Education programme and is responsible for managing, implementing, monitoring, evaluating and reporting the progress of education programmes/projects within the country programme. The Specialist provides technical guidance and management support throughout the programming processes to facilitate the administration and achievement of results on education programmes/projects to improve learning outcomes and equitable and inclusive education, especially for children who are marginalized, disadvantaged and excluded in society.
The Specialist contributes to achievement of results according to plans, allocation, results based-management approaches and methodology (RBM), as well as UNICEF’s Strategic Plans, standards of performance, and accountability framework.
The overall purpose of this position is to provide thought leadership, quality analytical guidance, oversight, quality assurance and technical support to the social protection agenda for UNICEF in the East and Southern Africa region, with strong links across the continent and global agendas. It is responsible for leading and overseeing regional and country level analysis and advocacy to promote development of national social protection systems and programmes. It contributes to global thinking and visibility on social protection development, including through analysis and advocacy. Strategic use of knowledge generation and fostering of technical and high-level networks to promote social protection is also key.
UNICEF Moldova is contracting a National Individual Consultant, to support the MER in the review and development of the new National Curriculum documents. The national consultant will serve as a Team Lead and a member of the team of experts in the process of review and development of the new National Curriculum. He/she will also be responsible for the facilitation of the public consultations at the national level.
The Security Associate reports to the SO (Security Officer) for supervision. The Security Associate provides technical, operational and administrative assistance to the Supervisor in support of their role as it relates to ensuring the safety and security of personnel and their eligible family members as well as the safeguarding of UNICEF premises, assets and resources at the duty station. In carrying out the below duties the incumbent is expected to follow instructions precisely and in strict compliance with supervisor’s instructions and UN Security related policies, rules and procedures
