The Education and Climate teams at the UNICEF Regional Office for South Asia (ROSA), and Bhutan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka Country Offices are seeking a consultant to support work on Education and Climate under the Sustainability and Climate Action Plan (SCAP). They will focus primarily on consolidating regional knowledge on the intersection between education and climate in the region, as well as on activity reporting, conducting the review of climate related education data and documents.
This consultancy will have a total of 230 days to be completed between January 2025 and January 2026. Preferably based in Kathmandu, Nepal for the duration of the contract but remote-based consultancy is also an acceptable option.

Under the supervision of the Education Specialist int he Odesa Field Office, the Education Officer for early childhood education (ECE) provides technical, operational, and administrative support throughout the programming process for ECE initiatives within the Country Programme. This includes contributing to development planning, facilitating the implementation of diversified ECE services, and ensuring effective monitoring and reporting of results at the local level. The role involves working closely with local authorities to implement ECE pilot projects, such as mobile kindergartens and community-based early learning spaces, aligning efforts with the national ECE reform agenda while addressing local needs and challenges.
The post is located in the Human Resources (HR) Unit of Operations Section of Mali CO and reports to HR Manager. HR Unit is responsible for providing wide range of HR services to staff members and management of Mali CO
