Under the supervision of the Chief Field Operations & Emergency, the Education Cluster Coordinator is responsible for giving technical assistance and support to the development, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the emergency interventions in the education sector. In particular, the Cluster Coordinator is responsible for facilitating and coordinating the Education Cluster, a forum in which different partners work together to support the Nigerien education system in current and future emergencies and strengthening the system-wide preparedness and technical capacity to respond in a timely, cohesive manner.

The WASH Officer reports to the WASH Specialist who is at level 3 based in Central Southern States Zonal Office. The WASH Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the WASH programming process, through the application of theoretical and practical technical skills in researching, collecting, analyzing and presenting programme information while learning organizational rules, regulations and procedures to support the development, implementation and monitoring of the WASH output results of the Country Programme which is focused on provision of emergency WASH services to the people affected by conflict, floods, droughts and cholera outbreak, development and provision of sustainable water supply systems and sanitation services in rural and urban areas, and promotion of good hygiene practices in communities, schools and health care facilities. The WASH Officer will cover WASH activities in Hirshabelle and Galmudug states, and Banadir Region, while allowing additional field presence for WASH interventions in Dhusamareb and Galkacyo and ensuring liaison with the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Galmudug state in Dhusamareb.
