UNICEF Nepal Country Office is looking for committed professional and expert to strengthen Nepal's Community Health and Nutrition (CHN) systems. The assignment is for 9 months.
To primarily support the D&A nutrition team in collating data and undertaking data analysis for the upcoming 2026 Flagship Child Nutrition Report (CNR) and support the finalization of different advocacy products for 2025 CNR. The 2025 report is delayed and now scheduled to be released in September 2025. As a result, data and analysis will need to be updated to ensure that UNICEF’S flagship nutrition report features the most up to data for countries worldwide. At the same time, the team needs to conceptualize and undertake analysis for the 2026 report which is scheduled to be released in August 2026. The 2026 edition of the CNR is focused on exclusive breastfeeding, a global nutrition target and the incumbent will support the team in identification and collation of relevant data sources, undertaking data quality reviews, validation of estimates. Additionally, this position will also support the team with undertaking country consultations for the nutrition sustainable Development Goals (SDG) indicators especially the newly accepted SDG on diets.
The Government of Belize, in partnership with UNICEF, is planning to conduct a Climate Landscape Analysis for Children, which will examine the impacts of climate change and environmental degradation on children, adolescents, and vulnerable groups, including pregnant and lactating mothers and indigenous communities. The report will also explore the disaster risk framework and initiatives as well as the climate mitigation and adaptation efforts of neighboring countries, including Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras, and regional coordination mechanisms like SICA, CCCCC, and the Mexico-Guatemala-Belize Trilateral Cooperation. The analysis will utilize evidence to provide actionable recommendations for key stakeholders, including government agencies, UNICEF, and regional partners, on how to effectively mitigate and adapt to climate change. These recommendations will aim to strengthen efforts to safeguard children’s rights and ensure a sustainable, climate-resilient future for Belize.
