La Oficina de UNICEF en Cuba se complace en anunciar su convocatoria para la Consultoría Local: Elaboración de estrategia y propuesta de financiamiento climático para el sector de Agua, Saneamiento e Higiene en Cuba.
En su actual Programa de Cooperación 2020-2025, UNICEF en Cuba ha fortalecido su cooperación con el Instituto Nacional de Recursos Hidráulicos fundamentalmente con la rehabilitación de servicios de agua en comunidades afectadas por situaciones de emergencia. Como próximos pasos se ha identificado la necesidad de apoyar con varias acciones estratégicas que permitan al sector de WASH acceder a fuentes de financiamiento climático, con un enfoque innovador y diversificado.
Entre estas acciones se propone avanzar de forma conjunta para asegurar que el próximo informe de NDC del país pueda visibilizar los temas de agua, así como apoyar en la elaboración de una justificación climática (Climate Rationale) que le permitiría a Cuba a acceder a fondos climáticos adicionales.
La presente Consultoría se abre con el propósito de contar con un acompañamiento técnico para las acciones estratégicas mencionadas anteriormente, asegurando la coordinación y complementariedad entre UNICEF, el INRH, el CITMA y demás socios involucrados, y como resultado principal estará la elaboración de una estrategia de financiamiento climático para el sector, incluyendo una propuesta de proyecto de alto impacto.
