The purpose of this consultancy is to assist UNICEF in drafting, revising, and finalizing the Report of the Secretary-General on the Girl Child, under the overall supervision of the Senior Gender Advisor (Institutional Accountability), incorporating inputs received from Member States, UN agencies (including from different sections and regional offices within UNICEF), and NGOs.
Under the direct supervision and guidance of the Supply and Logistics Specialist, the incumbent will be responsible for coordinating the logistics operations of UNICEF Nigeria Country Office, in support to UNICEF regular programs and potential emergency responses. The position is responsible for logistics operations including planning, coordination of incoming shipments, warehousing, and downstream transportation and distribution, as well as advises on all matters within logistics, collaborating closely with supply and programme colleagues in defining and implementing logistics interventions to meet programmatic needs.
