India Country Office is looking for an experienced Chief of Health responsible for managing and leading all stages of UNICEF’s engagement in child health and well-being in India, implemented through a network of 13 UNICEF Field Offices, from strategic planning and formulation to delivery of results. The Chief, Health leads and manages the Health Section and supports the broader UNICEF health network including establishing plans of action to achieve concrete and sustainable results according to plans, allocation, results based-management approaches and methodology (RBM), as well as UNICEF’s Strategic Plans, standards of performance, and accountability framework.
UNICEF has contracted an external partner to undertake quantitative and qualitative research as a basis for the Review of Immunization in Africa (RIA). To ensure key partners and country teams have the opportunity to reflect and comment on the findings of this research and analysis and contribute to the development of recommendations for advocacy and programming.
Under the supervision and guidance of the Director of the Washington DC Office, the Administrative Associate is responsible for executing a broad variety of procedural and specialized administrative tasks for the respective section requiring in-depth knowledge of UNICEF administrative procedures, processes, and policies.
The objective of this consultancy is to support the ESS initiative by creating a SharePoint platform where all ESS-related corporate documents, tools, and training materials are easily accessible, and to establish a Community of Practice (CoP) for staff to collaborate, share knowledge, and improve ESS implementation. It complements the current initiative on Safeguarding.
The Officer provides support to the supervisor and colleagues in the unit by executing HR services through applying knowledge of theoretical HR models, as well as understanding of organizational HR policies and procedures, specifically this role will support the five field offices with all related key HR interventions. It may imply travel in the fields.
