UNICEF Guinea-Bissau is seeking a professional and safety-conscious Driver to provide reliable transportation services for staff, visitors, consultants and official missions, including travel to field locations. The role supports safe and efficient fleet operations through responsible driving, routine vehicle checks and maintenance, accurate trip documentation, and use of digital fleet and mobility tools.The selected candidate will demonstrate discretion, integrity, courtesy and a strong client-service approach, while complying with local traffic regulations, UNICEF safety standards and security procedures. The Driver will also support airport movements, emergency readiness, basic administrative tasks and continuous learning during non-driving periods.
The overall objective of the technical support is to use Programme Based Budgeting (PBB) as an entry point for Child Responsive Budgeting (CRB) in the States. CRB is impossible without PBB. During the support, the states officials will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to adequately mainstream and institutionalize Programme-based budgeting in the 9 States across the key phases of the budget process, planning, implementation, and monitoring. The following are the specific objectives:
a) To strengthen the capacity and enhance the knowledge of stakeholders in programme-based planning, coding (tagging), monitoring, reporting, and evaluation in the 10 states.
b) To reinforce the results framework and enable the state officials to formulate realistic outputs/deliverables and SMART indicators (with means of verification) in the 10 states
c) To generate awareness about the indicators and data dashboard, and to guide on collecting data to assess and monitor the programme regularly in the 10 states.
d) To establish (if not existing or strengthen) a state standing committee on budget performance monitoring and reporting to the State Governor for progress appraisal and decision making in each of the 10 states.
The Deputy Representative reports to the CO Representative for general supervision and direction. The Deputy Representative supports the Representative on the overall management of the CO and for coordinating closely with the different programme sections including social policy and social protection on all phases of the Country Office Programme, from formulation to delivery of results in accordance with UNICEF’s Strategic Plans, standards of performance and accountability framework, ethics and integrity.
Support the procurement and timely delivery of essential child survival supplies by managing purchase orders, tenders, supplier coordination, and order tracking. Ensure compliance with UNICEF procurement procedures, maintain procurement systems and records, and collaborate with suppliers and country offices to support efficient supply chain operations.
This remote consultancy drives the global visibility and strategic communication of UNICEF Innocenti's Intergenerational Governance and Participation (IGP) initiatives. Building on successful initial phases, you will lead advocacy, storytelling, and dissemination strategies with a specific focus on the Youth Fellowship on Climate Education. By translating knowledge across global platforms, you will amplify youth voices and strengthen interconnected portfolios in foresight and climate governance.
