India Country office is looking for an experienced and dynamic Programme Specialist responsible for providing high quality support to the Representative to provide coordinated management and oversight of the India Country Office (ICO) composed of a main office based in New Delhi and 13 large-size Field Offices as well as outposts.
The consultant is expected to develop the capacity and provide technical guidance to UNICEF staff and relevant national and implementing partners in aspects related to disability inclusion, disability-sensitive programming, and participation of children with disabilities throughout the programming processes. This will also include support towards sub-national level support for сhild protection programs and partners operating in field office areas.
Accountable for professional technical contribution to project design, planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and administration of Immunization (EPI) programme/project activities, including data analysis, programme support, delivery, progress reporting, and commitment for expansion of immunization coverage, as well as enhancement of teamwork and capacity building, in support of achievement of planned objectives of the work plan, aligned with country programme goals, objectives and strategy.

The role focuses on providing Strategic leadership that directly enhances UNICEF’s ability to create a protective environment for children, driving sustainable results that promote their survival, development, and well-being while strengthening UNICEF’s credibility and impact. The position requires strong, empathetic, inspirational leadership and the ability to balance upholding the rights of vulnerable groups with working with lawmakers and law enforcement personnel.
Under the direct supervision of the LACRO Regional Director, and with guidance from the LACRO Deputy Regional Director, the Regional Advisor for Emergency (P5) is responsible for initiating and supporting strategic and program planning related to humanitarian action across the Latin America and the Caribbean Region. The Regional Advisor supports Country Offices and the Regional Office in contingency planning and preparedness efforts to ensure adequate emergency preparedness, operations, and response capacity throughout the region.
