Under the supervision of the Nutrition Manager, the consultant will facilitate quality improvement initiatives in two districts in the Eastern Cape Province to scale-up interventions aimed at strengthening early identification of undernutrition and screening of children at household level by caregivers, using MUAC screening as an entry point. A package of services will be anchored on the five pillars of the Road to Health Booklet which are nutrition, love, protection, health care and extra care.
The Construction Engineer (NO-B) reports to the Construction Engineer (P-3) and contribute to the management of construction and rehabilitation components of project and programmes. The management of construction projects includes planning, support to procurement, as well as monitoring of construction works on site. The incumbent collaborates closely with UNICEF Programme/ Operations in defining construction interventions to meet programmatic needs and achieve results for children and provides technical and advisory support to Government and partners on construction project
The objective of this consultancy is continuing the systematization of Super Panas experiences and activities implemented in Schools (or another name proposed for the project in agreement in the local government) through a partnership with municipalities education department, strengthening the capacities of municipal schools to implement educational methodologies that take into account local multiculturalism, recomposition of learning in portuguese language , containing sufficient information and documentation.
Contribute to developing guiding instruments for the improvement and/or replication of experiences in other schools and/or emergency contexts, including their conversion into public policies; and develop guidelines for training courses for local education professionals who work in the emergency context.

To contract as suitably qualified and experienced Engineer Consultant, to monitor the construction and functioning of a new building of accommodation rooms and ancillary facilities in Kismayo and Beletweyne.
The Engineer will report to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for the supervision and monitoring of the construction works on site. The consultant will ensure that the project is built in accordance with the contract documents. The Engineer Consultant will manage the project to be completed on schedule, to the required standards, and within the approved budget. He/she will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and management of the project in Kismayo including but not limited to resolving any disputes and flagging any issues to the Operations Manager that may present a risk for UNICEF.
