Join UNICEF as Education Officer (Digitalization). Additionally, the consultant will be working closely with partners involved in the proposed Healthy Environments for Healthy Children Global Collaborative.
Under the guidance and general supervision of the Chief, Education, the Specialist supports the development and preparation of the Education programmes and is responsible for managing, implementing, monitoring, evaluating and reporting the progress of education programmes/projects within the country programme. The Specialist provides technical guidance and management support throughout the programming processes to facilitate the administration and achievement of results on education programmes/projects to improve learning outcomes and equitable and inclusive education, especially for children who are marginalized, disadvantaged and excluded in society.
The Specialist contributes to achievement of results according to plans, allocation, results based-management approaches and methodology (RBM), as well as UNICEF’s Strategic Plans, standards of performance, and accountability framework.
UNICEF Libya is seeking to hire an experienced, dynamic, results-oriented consultant to provide time-bound technical support to strengthen national child protection systems by supporting the application of Family and Child Protection Sections (FCPS) standard operating procedures and data management systems, enhancing government capacity through technical inputs to curriculum development, training and training-of-trainers initiatives, and contributing to national child protection coordination platforms for policy development and implementation. The consultant will also provide technical advisory support to child-friendly justice interventions, Best Interest Determination (BID) processes, and detention-related child protection responses, and support the conduct of physical assessments of FCPS, in coordination with UNDP under the joint Programme, to inform the design of child-friendly set-ups.
