Le bureau de l’UNICEF en Mauritanie est à la recherche d’un (e) professionnel(le) engagé(e) et expérimenté (e) pour le poste de Spécialiste de la Communication pour le Changement Social et de Comportement (SBC) et du Genre au niveau NOC, Fixed Term. Sous la supervision du/de la Représentant(e) Adjoint(e) aux programmes, Le/la Spécialiste renforce les capacités internes du bureau, jouant un rôle central dans le transfert de compétences. Il/elle travaille en étroite collaboration avec les différentes sections, qui ont déjà identifié des thématiques prioritaires nécessitant un changement de comportement, afin de renforcer les connaissances et les compétences des spécialistes sectoriels.

The Division of Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP), based in Geneva, aims to achieve sustainable impact for children – income and influence at scale – by maximizing UNICEF's private fundraising, partnerships, and engagement activities, including work with National Committees, regional, and country offices, for the realization of children's rights. The Humanitarian Funding Unit within the Private Sector Fundraising and Partnerships (PSFP) section of PFP supports National Committees and Private Sector Fundraising (PSFR) countries and steers global efforts across the organization to maximize funding opportunities through and for humanitarian crises and sudden-onset disasters.
Over the last 5 years, on average 66% of private sector funding has gone to only 3 HAC appeals – many of them media-covered emergencies. Although we will continue to leverage media-driven crises, our universal mandate requires a more sustainable and equitable distribution of funding across emergencies, especially for Chronically Underfunded Emergencies (CUEs). Chronically Underfunded Emergencies are crises marked by sustained humanitarian needs that often span years or even decades. These emergencies typically occur in regions affected by chronic displacement, ongoing conflicts, or recurring natural disasters such as drought.
Closing the funding gap for chronically underfunded emergencies from the private sector demands bold action and seamless collaboration across UNICEF.
It is in this regard that UNICEF’s Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP) Division is launching the Global Emergency Alliance for Children, a pioneering platform to mobilize leading businesses for sustained, flexible support to children affected by protracted and sudden-onset crises. The Alliance aims to reduce the funding gap for crises by leveraging corporate resources, expertise, and influence to deliver measurable impact for children worldwide.

UNICEF Malaysia is seeking a passionate and driven individual to serve as the National Child Council Engagement Consultant. In this role, you will help strengthen meaningful child participation in local governance across Sarawak, supporting the Child Friendly Cities Initiative (CFCI). As part of the MICS programme, UNICEF continues to strengthen its MICS support mechanism at all levels, so that implementing partners in countries can receive the required level of technical assistance on a timely basis at critical survey stages and are in a better position to support the implementing partner. The 7th round of the MICS programme (MICS7) was launched in March 2023 and there are already 40 planned and ongoing MICS7 surveys and potentially 20-30 more surveys in the pipeline. There are also 7 surveys from the 6th round of the MICS programme that are still in data processing or report finalisation stages.
A very important element of MICS design and implementation is sampling, which is a very specialized field of work. Excellent sampling support is needed during the design, implementation, and reporting stages of all surveys.
As currently there is no sufficient funding to cover all planned activities, some deliverables are planned to be completed only if additional resources become available.
