The Alliance for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action (the Alliance) is a global network of operational agencies, academic
institutions, policymakers, donors and practitioners that facilitates inter-agency technical collaboration on child protection
in all humanitarian contexts. The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) leads the Alliance with a rotating NGO, currently
the International Rescue Committee. The Alliance sets standards and produces technical guidance for use by the various
stakeholders, particularly field practitioners. Its mission is to support humanitarian actors to achieve high-quality and
effective child protection interventions in humanitarian contexts, in both refugee and non-refugee settings.
This is a critical moment for the Alliance to solidify strategic partnerships and elevate its advocacy work for the centrality of
the child in all humanitarian action. The purpose of the assignment is to support the Alliance Secretariat with strategic
partnerships, donor engagement, and advocacy activities.
During the duration period of the contract, the consultant will support development and dissemination of the survivor-centered guidance tool on FGM, as well as the expansion of the rollouts of Primero / GBVIMS+ through the specific tasks listed below.
Given the urgency of adverse climate impacts, it is crucial that UNICEF and national governments have the necessary data and evidence to respond to chronic and emerging climate and environmental threats. As the foremost organization on child specific climate UNICEF is committed to ensuring that the data decision makers rely on is reflective of the local context and encapsulates the needs of children, especially the most vulnerable.
To further consolidate its global positioning and offer on climate risk analysis and data, UNICEF is seeking a consultant to provide technical support for UNICEF programming, operations and advocacy to scale results for children. Specifically, the consultant will support the application of data from the global hazard database, the Children’s Climate Risk Index-Disaster.

Under the guidance of the Senior Health Advisor, this position leads the management and reporting of high-value, multi-country immunization contributions, including Canada’s flagship support and Gavi CDS grants. You will strengthen donor relations with governments, foundations, and private partners, ensuring long-term engagement and sustainable financing for immunization. The role also supports the Office of the Health Director in advancing the global immunization agenda, fostering cross-sectoral collaboration with teams in nutrition, education, gender, WASH, and SBC to design integrated programming and resource mobilization approaches. By deepening partnerships, coordinating performance monitoring, and driving strategic dialogue, this position enhances UNICEF’s visibility and influence while securing resources and shaping policies to protect every child through immunization.
