The Chief WASH reports to the Deputy Representative for general guidance and direction. The Chief is responsible for managing and supervising all stages of the WASH programme from strategic planning and formulation to the delivery of the WASH outcome and output results. The Chief is also responsible for leading and managing the CO WASH team and providing technical guidance to the WASH team in Field Offices. The Chief WASH is accountable for ensuring that the WASH outcome and output results are achieved according to plans, allocations, results based-management approaches and methodology, UNICEF’s Strategic Plan, standards of performance and accountability framework.
This consultancy will focus on supporting the HEPR section in the writing of key technical documents and briefings, and will facilitate internal discussion, to elaborate a body of knowledge on UNICEF’s role and experience in health emergencies preparedness and response. The audience of such documentation is both internal (i.e., leadership briefings, coordination, technical assistance) and external (i.e., coordination with partners, fund-raising, technical advocacy).
Under the supervision and guidance of the supervisor, the programme associate supports the respective section (s) by carrying out a range of programme support functions to help develop, implement and monitor their country programme, ensuring effective and timely delivery that is consistent with UNICEF rules and regulations.
The Health Officer reports to the Health Specialist and provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for the Health Programme within the Country Programme, from development planning to delivery of results, by preparing, executing, managing, and implementing a variety of technical and administrative programme tasks to facilitate programme development, implementation, programme progress monitoring, and evaluating and reporting of results.
The Social and Behavior Change Specialist reports to the Chief of Field Office for general guidance and supervision. The Specialist provides technical and operational support for developing a systematic, planned and evidence-based strategy and process for SBC as an integral part of programme development, planning and implementation. Through communication and engagement, as well as the empowerment and participation of stakeholders, communities, children, civil society partners, and government counterparts, s/he promotes measurable behavioral and social change/mobilization.
