To update the trend of multidimensional child poverty in Viet Nam 2020 to 2024 and analyze the factors associated with child poverty for formulating policy recommendations on sustainable poverty reduction.
Under the supervision of the Country Coordinator and the technical coordination of the Child Protection Manager, ADAP Manager, and BMI Senior Policy and Advocacy Coordinator, the Consultant will support the development of a comprehensive documentation blueprint to be implemented in 2026. This blueprint will serve as a strategic framework to guide the systematic documentation of UNICEF’s interventions in Italy over the past decade, with a particular focus on capturing models, methodologies, achievements, and lessons learned.
The documentation blueprint will reflect UNICEF’s programming in a high-income country (HIC) context, as outlined in the 2023 Programme Guidance for HICs. It will also take into account the unique operational setup in Italy, where UNICEF operates alongside a National Committee, ensuring complementarity between UNICEF’s technical engagement and the National Committee’s role. Under the supervision of the MNCAH Advisor in DAPM’s Health and HIV Unit, and in collaboration with relevant Programme Group colleagues, the consultant will provide strategic and technical guidance to support the development and early implementation of Phase 2 of mental health measurement at UNICEF.
Under the supervision of the Risks and compliance Manager, the Risk and Compliance Officer will be supporting in strengthening risk assurance and compliance efforts in UNICEF Nigeria. He / She will be asked to support in providing complementary expertise, and monitoring related to the management of risks, including but not limited to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of risk management practices at a process, systems, and entity level. He / she will ensure the achievement of risk management objectives follows organizational rules and regulations, and acceptable ethical behavior; internal control; information and technology security; sustainability; and quality assurance. Moreover, he / she will provide support in the analysis and reporting on the adequacy and effectiveness of risk management and internal controls

One of the core elements of the Strategic Plan is Goal Area 2, which focuses on ensuring that “Every child, including adolescents, learns and acquires skills for the future.” Within this goal area, Result Area 2 emphasizes the importance of children and adolescents developing life skills, digital skills, transferable skills, and vocational skills to prepare them for the future.
This corporate evaluation aims to generate systematic evidence on the extent to which UNICEF has supported countries in promoting the acquisition of transferable skills that will enable children, adolescents, and young people to be responsible and productive citizens. The evaluation will assess the conceptual underpinnings of UNICEF-supported transferable skills programmes, and the coherence of commitments made to programme countries. It will also examine intermediate outcomes and provide forward-looking recommendations for programme improvements.
