Under the general guidance of the Deputy Representative, the incumbent is responsible for providing technical support to the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of all stages of social policy programing and related advocacy from strategic planning and formulation to delivery of concrete and sustainable results. This includes programmes aimed at improving (a) public policies to reduce child poverty; (b) social protection coverage and impact on children; (c) the transparency, adequacy, equity and efficiency of child-focused public investments and financial management; and (d) governance, decentralization and accountability measures to increase public participation and the quality, equity and coverage of social services. This encompasses both direct programme work with government and civil society partners as well as linkages and support to teams working on education, health, child protection, water and sanitation, and HIV.
Under the guidance of the Deputy Representative, the incumbent provides professional technical assistance and support for programme design, planning and implementation, management and evaluation of programme/project activities, data analysis and progress reporting, in support of programme goals and objectives.
Under the close and direct supervision and guidance of the Chief Field Office, the Programme Assistant supports the respective section (s) by carrying out a range of procedural, administrative, and operational tasks, to help develop, implement, and monitor the Gao Field Office programme, ensuring timely and effective delivery that is consistent with UNICEF rules and regulations.
The Senior ICT Associate GS7 TA reports to Operations Officer NOB for guidance and general supervision. Senior Associate is accountable for the delivery of effective and efficient technical and operational assistance to the supervisor in the administration, maintenance, documentation, and monitoring all UNICEF's networks and network components. Ensures that effective and efficient network operation and services, including software, hardware and operational support to ensure minimal down time and maximum productivity.
