UNICEF Brazil is looking for an experienced and committed professional to coordinate the implementation of its Country Programme in Brazil. The Chief of Local Governance and Institutional Relations will work directly with the Deputy Representative for Programmes liaising and coordinating with the Chiefs of UNICEF’s seven zonal offices located in the Amazon and Semi-Arid regions of the Brazil. . The incumbent will work to ensure programmatic coherence in line with UNICEF Country Programme, strategy, quality assurance and risk management of UNICEF Brazil’s programme, policy and advocacy work at State and Municipal levels. , In a country with high levels of poverty and significant inequalities that are based on gender, race, ethnicity, geographic location, disabilities amongst others, clear strategies that target and transform realities for children and adolescents in Brazil will be of paramount importance. In addition, given the strategic role of Brazil in climate change discussions, with COP30 set to take place in Belem do Para, the incumbent will need to engage with Zonal Offices, UNICEF Chiefs of Goal Areas (e.g. Health, Education, Child Protection, Water, Hygiene and Sanitation, and Social Policy) to local partners to position UNICEF and delivery on its mandate.
This position will report to the Deputy Representative for Programmes and will be based in Brasilia, with significant travel within Brazil.
Under the supervision of the Fundraising Manager, NO-C, the Finance and Budget Associate GS6 will be responsible for executing a broad variety of procedural and specialized administrative tasks to support planning, budgeting, financial management and administration for the Fundraising department.
Lead the transformation of UNICEF’s talent acquisition and development as the Human Resources Manager (Talent Partnerships). In this strategic role, you will spearhead initiatives to attract diverse, high-potential talent through partnerships with public and private sectors, advancing equity and inclusion priorities.
