UNICEF seeks an Individual Consultant - Digital Learning Specialist, to provide liaison, coordination, technical and operational support to the Ministries of Education and Ministry of Innovation & Technology to operationalize the Learning Passport, rollout GIGA and other relevant Digital Technologies in Ethiopia. The Digital Learning Specialist will serve as a bridge between UNICEF, the Ministries of Education and Ministry of Innovation & Technology, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), and other key stakeholders, ensuring effective coordination and collaboration for the successful rollout of the Learning Passport, GIGA initiatives and other relevant Digital Education Technologies across Ethiopia. The consultant will have one international travel and five trips within Ethiopia.
Under the general direction of the Statistics & Monitoring Advisor for MNCAH, the Consultant will provide technical and operational support to key projects within the Unit. This includes facilitating project implementation tracking, preparing project updates and reports, and supporting staff in communication with UNICEF country and regional offices.
The current consultancy will support UNICEF and the JME group, which includes partners of the World Health Organization and the World Bank Group, to build on the existing statistical analysis code for national level estimates of child malnutrition, that is available in R, to develop methods and generate modelled estimates of child malnutrition that are disaggregated by key background variables, like sex, and document the work to allow for replication by other users.
