UNICEF Yemen is seeking a highly skilled and experienced consultant to support the polio communication effort in Yemen based in the Aden Field Office during the response to the poliovirus outbreak, working under the supervision of the Chief of SBC in UNICEF Country Office and in close collaboration with the Chief of Field Office of Aden, SBC specialist in Aden, and the WHO communication team at national and Aden level, and Health Offices’ Extended Programme on Immunization and Health Education Centres.
The Chief Youth & Adolescent Development reports to the Deputy Representative for general guidance and direction. The Chief supports country office programming processes by providing expert technical advice and operational support to country office colleagues and internal and external partners and stakeholders to ensure that adolescent development and participation established under the Convention on the Rights of the Child, international treaties/framework and UN intergovernmental bodies, are integrated in UNICEF’s advocacy, policies, programmes and humanitarian work.
The objective of this Long-Term Agreement (LTA) is to provide ongoing software development technical services to support Giga’s Connectivity Credits initiative. The consultants engaged under this LTA will offer guidance on technical architecture, scalability strategy, open-source strategy, vendor strategy, and regulatory compliance from a technical development perspective.
In order to fully design and support the roll-out of the UNICEF data protection programme, including responsible standards
for the handling of sensitive non-personal data, establishment of data retention guidance as well as elements of awareness,
training, and data protection education, UNICEF CDO needs to hire a data protection and privacy expert with strong
experience on the intersection of data protection, information security, and technology to support the DGSU team
the Data Protection and Privacy Specialist (Country Office Support) will supervise the consultancy assignment. .
