The key role of Information Technology Assistants (Customer Care) is to support users in all locations (country offices, regional offices, and headquarters) and to ensure that effective and efficient solutions are provided to all incidents and queries on IT infrastructure, Business and GSSC services. In addition, IT Assistants are expected to handle other tasks or projects assigned by the supervisor. These positions require the successful candidate to work in 24x7 shifts.
The vacancy is created to fill any temporary and regular IT Assistant (Customer Care) GS-5 level positions in BIS.
The global UNICEF IT strategy for collaborative platforms and document management systems is based on Microsoft technologies and cloud services such as Office 365-E3 and Microsoft Azure.
With guidance and supervision provided by the Project Officer (Internal Applications), and in close collaboration with the relevant stakeholders, the Project Analyst manages the development of integrated solutions to Supply Division (SD) strategies by participating in business requirements gathering, identifying, and documenting functional and non-functional requirements. The Project Analyst is also practicing project management of development projects, monitoring and driving the development of these ICT solutions. The Project Analyst will be involved in multiple cross-cutting projects simultaneously. The integrated solutions are around collaboration, knowledge management, supply chain monitoring & reporting, external workflow to support SD Operations and application of ICT toward innovation initiatives.
The Communication Centre (CommC) is responsible for Supply Division’s (SD) communication function. Supplies serve a critical role in achieving UNICEF’s mandate for children. The packaging and publication of written and visual content via curated media channels and partnerships gives visibility to UNICEF Supply’s work and increases audience and supporter engagement. SD is also a favorite destination for media, donors, fundraisers and supporters who want to enrich their understanding of UNICEF Supply’s work. With this background, the Communication Centre is hiring a consultant for time bound deliverables relating to 2024-2025 events and campaigns where CommC will need additional coordination, research, content and writing to maximize impact.
