UNICEF Yemen is seeking an experienced Child Protection Officer responsible for preparing, executing, managing, and implementing a range of technical and administrative program tasks to support program development, implementation, monitoring of progress, evaluation, and reporting.
Under the direct supervision of Programme Manager undertakes operations management support services in a sub-country office, the incumbent assists in ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations support services, providing guidance to administrative staff as well and supporting staff in office operations assignments. Ensures the office’s operations and services are in compliance with the organization's policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
Under the supervision of and in regular consultation with the supervisor, implement country office emergency preparedness and response. Responsible for the technical contribution to the development, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the emergency interventions to advance the survival and well-being of children and mothers and affected communities in an emergency situation.
The Emergency Specialist - UNICARE Project Coordinator will support the Project Owner overseeing the development and rollout of the UNICARE system across UNICEF and its Partners.

This solution, named UNICARE (UNICEF's Community-driven Accountability Response Ecosystem), will include comprehensive guidance, ready-to-use templates, an ICTD-endorsed digital platform, and HQ-level support. UNICARE will enable effective compliance with donor commitments and UNICEF’s Policies, Procedures, and Standards while, simultaneously, enhancing financial efficiency by mitigating duplicative efforts in the independent development of similar products across individual offices.
