The UNICEF Nigeria is seeking for a Logistics Associate for the Lagos Field Office to provide has a direct impact on the quality and timeliness of a variety of services for which the unit is responsible. The effectiveness of these services influences the timely completion of other processes for clients and has a direct bearing on the reputation of the supply team, especially in terms of quality and responsiveness. The Logistics Associate acts as a key point of contact for the coordination and planning of routine supply chain activities—such as the transportation of goods and materials, purchase orders, contracts, delivery, and payments. These relationships are crucial for meeting deadlines and ensuring that work results comply with regulations, rules, and guidelines.
The ongoing Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) outbreak in DRC poses a significant cross-border risk to Rwanda. UNICEF Rwanda, in line with the Government-led preparedness approach, is supporting national efforts to strengthen Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and infection prevention and control (IPC) systems to prevent and respond to a potential outbreak. Current priorities include strengthening IPC in healthcare facilities, scaling up WASH services, enhancing community-based preparedness, and ensuring continuity of essential services. To support these efforts, UNICEF plans to engage an experienced individual consultant to provide technical assistance to the Ministry of Health (MoH)/Rwanda Biomedical Centre (RBC), line government agencies and partners at the national and sub-nationals in strengthening WASH and IPC preparedness, prevention, and response capacities for EVD.
