This is a Junior Professional Officer position open to Finnish nationals only. The JPO will provide support across the different sectors to ensure the technical excellence and quality of programmatic work on inclusion of children with disabilities in the South Asia region to advance the DIPAS cross-sectoral strategic priorities. The JPO will also support the knowledge interchange on best practices in disability inclusive programming across the region. Under the overall direction and guidance of the Nutrition specialist (NIS), the Nutrition Officer will manage the IM function of the nutrition section. They are responsible for ensuring IM processes effectively contribute to provide timely and adequate evidence generation to inform the program decisions, provide timely reports to the relevant stakeholders internally and externally including for donors reporting, internal unicef reporting, regular Sitreps, and reports UNICEF results and plans to the nutrition sector and implementing partners. In their effort to enable an efficient and effective nutrition programming, the NIS Officer is responsible for managing the collection, analysis and sharing of information that is essential for evidence-based and strategic decisions.
UNICEF proposes to engage the expertise of a highly qualified Innovative Finance (IF) specialist to facilitate the effective implementation of sustainable and innovative finance solutions for WASH in the East and Southern Africa Region (ESAR). These tasks encompass scoping, mapping and supporting IF solutions, and technical support to regional and country offices on IF solutions as well as providing capacity building assistance to Country Offices working on innovation projects.
ECW is looking for a senior consultant to carry out the hosting review. This will serve as the most cost-effective and time-efficient approach in view of the comprehensive and forward-looking hosting review conducted by Mokoro in 2018.
The programme manager is based in the West Area (El Geneina, and report to the Chief of Field Office for West Area (P5).
To support efficient and effective coordination, UNICEF and WFP has an established Project Management Unit. The programme manager will seat in the PMU.
