The specialist will provide authoritative technical guidance and operational support throughout all stages of programming to facilitate the management and delivery of results contributing to SBC for the prevention of violence against children through gender transformative programming in alignment with UNICEF child protection strategic framework 2021 -2030) the Gender Action Plan (2022-2025). S/He will support specialized child protection, GBV, and SBC programmes targeting children at-risk or survivors of sexual and gender-based violence, with a particular focus on adolescent girls using evidence-based SBC programming to prevent VAC and S/GBV and improve the availability and quality of prevention and response services at the local level.
The purpose of this assignment is to support the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) in safeguarding citizens' right to access clean and safe drinking water, particularly under the challenging conditions posed by the ongoing military conflict. The expert will play a critical role in assessing the legal frameworks governing water access and public health, as well as calculating the health-related harm caused by the consumption of unsafe water.
The expert’s work will contribute to the development of comprehensive recommendations for legislative improvements, compensation mechanisms for affected populations, and the enhancement of public participation in environmentally significant decision-making processes.
