The UNICEF Regional Office for South Asia (ROSA) seeks a consultant to support the WASH team. The consultant will provide support to the eight countries with South Asia Region with the implementation of WASH in Healthcare Facilities. This is a home-based 12 month assignment with mission travel as required.
Under the general guidance of the South Area Field Office Chief and technical guidance from the SBC Section, and in close coordination with Sectoral and Cross-Sectoral Specialists and Officers, contributes to/responsible for the design, management, monitoring and evaluation of evidence-based, inclusive and innovative SBC strategies in support of the country programme. The Officer will be based on Kosti, White Nile state, and will provide support to the whole South Area.
The aim of this assignment is to provide technical support to selected provincial and local authorities (mainly Eastern and Northern Provincial Councils and other local authorities as applicable) to improve public participation in local planning and budgeting processes through the development of key tools that support monitoring from a child-rights perspective, such as Citizens Budgets.
