The Urban WASH Officer reports to the WASH Specialist and provides technical, operational and field-level support for the implementation, monitoring and supervision of urban WASH recovery interventions in earthquake-affected areas.

The WASH Specialist (P-3) reports to the Chief of WASH (P-5) and is responsible for supporting the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of UNICEF's WASH programme in Sudan. The incumbent provides technical and programmatic leadership for donor-funded and emergency WASH interventions, including the Dutch-funded project, KfW-supported programmes, and other humanitarian response activities. The Specialist ensures programme quality, compliance, and achievement of results by leading performance monitoring, coordinating implementing partners, supporting infrastructure rehabilitation and service delivery, and contributing to donor reporting, risk management, and results-based management. The role supports the delivery of safe, sustainable, equitable, and climate-resilient WASH services in line with national priorities, donor commitments, and UNICEF policies and standards.
The WASH Specialist (P-3) reports to the WASH Manager (P-4) and is responsible for providing technical leadership, programme management, and coordination support for UNICEF's WASH programme in Sudan. The incumbent leads the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of WASH interventions to ensure the timely achievement of programme results, effective utilization of resources, and compliance with UNICEF policies, standards, and donor requirements.
The WASH Specialist reports to the Chief of WASH & Climate (Level 4) for guidance and general supervision. The Specialist supports the development, preparation, management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the WASH programme within the country programme. The Specialist provides technical guidance and management support throughout the programming processes, to facilitate the administration and achievement of the WASH-related output results in the country programme.
