UNICEF Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia (ECARO) is looking for a qualified Design and Delivery of ECA Regional Training on Disability-Inclusive Social Protection home-based consultant to lead and finalize design, lead logistics, and provide onsite support and delivery of a Europe, Caucasus, and Central Asia-focused training on disability-inclusive social protection, to be held in October of 2025.
The objective of this consultancy is to develop clear, actionable considerations to help CWGs in IASC/ Mixed and Refugee contexts interpret and implement the reference to social protection linkages in their Terms of Reference, in line with the cash coordination model and within the practical scope of CWG functions. CWG outside of IASC/ Mixed and Refugee contexts may also use this guidance to foster linkages between humanitarian and social protection interventions.
The fundamental mission of UNICEF is to promote the rights of every child, everywhere, in everything the organization does — in programmes, in advocacy, and in operations. The equity strategy, which emphasizes the most disadvantaged and excluded children and families, translates this commitment to children’s rights into action. For UNICEF, equity means that all children have the opportunity to survive, develop, and reach their full potential without discrimination, bias, or favoritism. To the extent that any child faces unequal chances in life — in social, political, economic, civic, and cultural dimensions — their rights are violated. There is growing evidence that investing in the health, education, and protection of a society’s most disadvantaged citizens — addressing inequity — not only provides all children with the opportunity to fulfil their potential but also promotes sustained growth and stability in countries. This focus on equity is vital as it accelerates progress toward realizing the human rights of all children, which is the universal mandate of UNICEF, as outlined by the Convention on the Rights of the Child, while also supporting the equitable development of nations.
The Administrative Associate, based in Wadi Madani, Sudan, is accountable for both specialized and procedural communications, operational and administrative support services of center area team.
Under the supervision and guidance of the supervisor, the Administrative Associate is responsible for executing a broad variety of procedural and specialized administrative tasks for the respective section requiring in-depth knowledge of UNICEF administrative procedures, processes and policies.
The Operations function is a strategic Business Partner role, assuring the best use of UNICEF assets in alignment with sound management practices, office priorities and goals to deliver results for children.
As a Strategic Business Partner, the incumbent will be accountable for operations functions, facilitate change, provide risk informed, solution-focused analysis, advice and services and contribute to programme and management decisions for delivering results for children in specific operational contexts.
