UNICEF Ethiopia is looking for a seasoned professional who will be responsible for monitoring all assigned construction activities in Afar, Tigray, Amhara (Health facilities, and other program and operations-related construction projects) and providing technical support on managing construction and rehabilitation activities. The incumbent will also provide back-up support to Addis and other field offices.
The Adolescent Development Officer reports to the Chief Field Office Tartous for supervision while responsible for managing the program in the area of responsibility of two field offices, Tartous and Homs Field Offices (the continuity of responsibility for Homs FO is subject to later changes based on the situation on the ground). The Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process to support the integration of adolescent development and participation in programmes/projects on adolescent development and participation including the light rehabilitation of formal Technical Vocational Education Training (TVET) schools and enhanced TVET . The Officer is responsible for preparing, executing, managing and implementing a variety of technical and administrative programme tasks to support the development and formulation of the adolescent development and participation programmes/projects on adolescent development and participation including the light rehabilitation of formal TVET schools and enhanced TVET.
UNICEF Pacific is in search of a dedicated and proactive international Consultant. The main objective of this consultancy is to help UNICEF Pacific Multi-Country Office To address this gap, in partnership with Fiji National University (FNU) and the East Africa Centre of Excellence (EACE), UNICEF Pacific conducted a 10-day face-to-face training workshop for selected candidates from Pacific countries. This initiative aimed to build the capacity of technical staff from PICTs, helping them identify and overcome cold chain challenges and implement effective solutions. By offering this training locally, the initiative seeks to support professionals working in immunization and other programs who otherwise might not have access to such crucial training. During this period, the EACE team lead, with the support of the UNICEF Focal person, met with several stakeholders and discussed the potential for establishing a regional (Pacific) Centre of Excellence for Cold Chain Equipment Management. A feasibility study or landscape assessment activity was proposed to inform the setting up of the Centre of Excellence.

The consultant will work under the supervision of the Nutrition Specialist in the UNICEF Pacific Multi-Country Office and provide technical assistance for Ministries of Health (MoHs) in RMI and Tonga to review the existing institutional framework and capacity to deliver, coordinate or steer nutrition services across different sectors and in communities; and recommend an organisational / human resource structure for optimal delivery of nutrition services.
