The WASH Manager (Urban WASH) will be responsible for leading and coordinating urban water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) initiatives in UNICEF Sudan country office. S/he shall work closely with government counterparts, local authorities, NGOs, community stakeholders, UN sister agencies, donors, and in collaboration with the section team and beyond to ensure the effective implementation of urban WASH projects in line with national policies and international standards.
The WASH Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) initiatives with a focus on urban settings, institutions and empowering water utilities.
The incumbent will be responsible for leading the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of urban WASH projects to ensure effective delivery of services and sustainable outcomes.
Under the supervision of the Chief of WASH, the candidate on this post will provide technical, managerial and operational support in the design, planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting/documentation of the programme with a focus on the Urban WASH, climate resilience and ESS portfolio in the section.

This position supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) projects, ensuring that ESS tools are integrated into program documents and partner agreements. The officer will assist with technical, operational, and administrative tasks across all stages of programming, contribute to capacity-building efforts, and help strengthen partnerships. With a focus on sustainability and risk management, this role is essential in ensuring that UNICEF's WASH initiatives are inclusive, high-quality, and effective in addressing the needs of the most vulnerable children and communities.
UNICEF Thailand Country Office (TCO) is also embarking on the development of a new Country Programme for 2027-2031 which will require dedicated technical support on documentation, collaborative workspaces, knowledge sharing and strategic internal and external communication to ensure a transparent and collaborative process.
Under the direct supervision of the chief of health/Supply or their designate, and in close coordination with the HQ and regional immunization supply chain (iSC) teams, the Vaccine Management Specialist (VMS) will work with the NLWGs/EPIs/MOPH and their sub-national counterparts
The overall objective of the Consultancy is to support an international consultant in the assessment of the social protection system in Turkmenistan, review the legislation, regulations and current practices for available services and benefits for children and families in difficult life situations, and provide contextual recommendations on the processes and workflow.
