The Child Protection Officer reports to the Child Protection Manager (P4) for supervision. The Child Protection Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for child protection programmes/projects within the Country Programme from development planning to delivery of results. H/She prepares, executes, manages, and implements a variety of technical and administrative programme tasks to facilitate programme development, implementation, programme progress monitoring, evaluating and reporting.
Under the direction and guidance of the Chief of Field Southern Area, the Programme Specialist (Coordination) will ensure adequate planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the health, nutrition, WASH, education, child protection and PME sections as well as Operations.
UNICEF seeks a Monitoring Specialist to guide and drive UNICEF’s support to the completion of nationwide household surveys, population census, build district- level data management systems, conduct the statistical analysis of data from administrative sources, household surveys, phone-based surveys, and sector-specific surveys into centralized data flow to inform child-focused policies and strengthening both internal and external capacities on results-based management.
