In a small office like the Oman Country Office, this position fulfills crucial responsibilities in addition to the senior driver functions for the Representative. It supports the Procurement & Admin Assistant with various administrative activities, including visa processing, travel arrangement, customs clearance, office maintenance, and improvement among others.
The appointed service provider will conduct an evaluability assessment of the NSSF under the general supervision of the Adolescent Development Specialist (Education and Adolescent Development) with close technical inputs and insights from PMRE with overall guidance from Chief of Education. The assignment will also be delivered in close collaboration with the Department of Basic Education (Director: School Safety).
Under the general guidance of the Social Policy Manager and in close collaboration with the UNICEF Shock Responsive Social Protection Specailists, MoLSA Social Protection team, and the staff of the implementing partners, the incumbent is responsible for delivering timely beneficiary data management services for implementing UNICEF social and humanitarian cash transfer programming, while upholding UNICEF data protection policies.
The Specialist provides technical and operational support for developing a systematic, planned and evidence-based strategy and process for SBC as an integral part of programme development, planning and implementation. Through communication and engagement, as well as the empowerment and participation of stakeholders, communities, children, civil society partners, and government counterparts, s/he promotes measurable behavioral and social change/mobilization. This subsequently contributes to the achievement of sustainable and concrete results in improving children’s rights, survival and wellbeing in the country.
The Chief, Social and Behaviour Change reports to the Deputy Representative for general guidance and direction. The Chief, SBC is responsible for developing a systematic, planned and evidence-based strategy and process for SBC as an integral part of programme development, planning and implementation.
