Under the general supervision of the Regional Education Adviser and working in collaboration with other UNICEF sections and key partners, the Education Specialist leads regional agenda on digital learning and education transformation across all stages of the education cycle. Specifically, the Specialist:
* Provides expert advice, advocacy, analysis and technical support to the ECAR country offices on programming, policies and operational strategies in digital learning and digital transformation of education systems.
* Leads on knowledge development, consolidation of lessons learned, evaluations related to digital learning and skills work.
*In close collaboration with the Innovation office, PG and ITD, works on conceptualization, testing and development of regional public goods for digital learning.
*Contributes to RO Education section, planning, monitoring and reporting exercises.
The Specialist contributes to achievement of results according to plans, allocation, results based-management approaches and methodology (RBM), as well as UNICEF’s Strategic Plans, standards of performance, and accountability framework.
Under the guidance and general supervision of the ADAP officer, the ADAP/E-Learning consultants will work in developing the current ADAP content to include additional skills such as digital learning and green world to meet with new needed skills for adolescents and to support in digitalizing the whole ADAP package to be used in the Digital Learning as well. The consultant will support the ADAP officer and the digital learning specialist in building capacity of the implementing partners and the local facilitators in addition to designing an ADAP implementation schedule. Moreover, the consultant will have to travel and visit adolescents’ activities implemented in safe states such as Red Sea, Kassala, Gadaref, Northern State, and River Nile.
UNICEF Pacific is in search of a dedicated and proactive international Consultant. The consultant will be seconded to the Fiji MHMS and deployed to the government premises (TBC). S/he will work under supervision of UNICEF Health and Nutrition Specialist and MHMS focal person on EMTCT, in close coordination with all other relevant MHMS officials and the UNICEF Maternal and Child Health Specialist, on a day-to-day basis. The consultant will be based in Suva, Fiji with field missions within the country.
The Supply and Logistics Associate under the supervision of the Operations Officer, performs highly skilled work on UNICEF supply chains, and manages the more complex cases and client requests, which frequently requires the evaluation of difficult situations and adaptation of procedures and processes to resolve such cases. This is the senior GS level for specialized supply chain work and requires advanced specialized knowledge acquired through formal training and experience.
The Child Protection Officer reports to the Child Protection Chief for close guidance and supervision and provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for the child protection programmes/projects through the application of theoretical and technical skills in researching, collecting, analyzing, and presenting technical programme information while learning organizational rules, regulations and procedures to support the development and formulation of the Child Protection Programme within the Country Programme.
