The Programme Associate, GS-6, based in Hargeisa and reporting to the WASH Specialist, provides technical, operational and administrative support for the implementation of WASH programme activities. The role focuses on drinking water supply, sanitation infrastructure, and WASH hardware projects, while strengthening coordination with local authorities and ensuring quality, accountability and effective programme delivery across Somaliland.

Under the guidance and supervision of the Chief of Field Operations and Emergencies, the Information Management Officer is responsible for developing and maintaining information management systems, tools and products that support effective emergency preparedness, response and coordination across the Country Office. The incumbent contributes to data collection, analysis, visualization and reporting to enable evidence-based decision-making, and provides dedicated support to UNICEF-led sectors in strengthening their information management capacity and systematic engagement with partners.
The ideal candidate is expected to meet the minimum requirements including an advanced university degree in public health, pediatric health, family health, health research, global/international health, health policy and/or management, biostatistics, socio-medical, epidemiology, or another relevant technical field; a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas: health project planning and management, malaria, child health, or health systems strengthening; and fluency in English.
